Takara Kurokame is an authentic sweet potato (imo) honkaku shochu made from Koganesengan sweet potato, with a rich, complex, and peppery flavor with earthy undertones. It is traditionally brewed using black koji (kuro koji) and fermented in large ceramic pots called "kame".
